Creating a VTCite Account

To obtain a VTcite account, you must self-register. VTcite accounts are open to anyone who supplies a valid account name and email address. Accounts are valid as long as the user maintains an active presence in VTcite. Accounts that are inactive for over a year will automatically be deleted. The following steps describe the account creation process.

The link to create a new account is located on the Home page of VTcite underneath the User Login dialog box.

Account Information

Type in your preferred user name and press Tab. In the email field, type a valid email account.

Join a Regional Group

You have an option to subscribe to any of the VITA-Learn regional groups during the registration process. If you place a check next to one of the boxes, you will automatically receive an email message whenever a post is made to that Group.

Enter Security Code

Finally, you'll need to type the security code you see on your screen. This feature protects VTcite from spam and other annoying accounts being created.

Create New Account

To create the account, click the Create Account button at the bottom of the page.

Email Verification

After you click the Create Account button, you will see a message informing you that you will receive an email notification that you must respond to in order to complete the account creation process. Be sure you check your email and follow instructions to complete the registration process.
